I have extensive experience in 3D design, specializing in modeling, rigging, and animation using tools like Maya, Blender, and ZBrush. I’ve led innovative projects, from creating detailed 3D exhibits to designing fully rigged characters, consistently delivering visually compelling and technically precise work.
For this project, I developed an original storyboard and brought a 3D character concept to life using Maya, demonstrating my expertise in character design and animation. I handled the entire process, from detailed modeling and rigging to texturing, ensuring the character's form and movements were both realistic and visually compelling. Every aspect, from concept to final animation, was thoughtfully crafted to align with the narrative and artistic vision, showcasing both my creativity and technical proficiency in 3D animation.
This project was in collaboration with TCNJ’s Biology department to create a fully interactive honeysuckle exhibit, taking the lead as the key innovator for the 3D design aspect. I designed 15 highly detailed 3D diagrams of various species using Blender, which were fully viewable on museum-goers' mobile devices and even 3D printed for display. I taught myself Blender specifically for this project,
I conducted extensive, self-guided research on human anatomy and Maya's advanced tools to create a fully rigged original character, ensuring accurate movement and lifelike detail. Using Maya for the animation and Adobe Premiere for editing, I developed a dynamic animation inspired by the song “Johnny B. Goode.” This project combined my technical expertise in 3D modeling, rigging, and animation with creative storytelling. I presented the final product to the Arts and Communication department, holding a panel discussion to showcase the work and explain the artistic and technical decisions behind the animation, highlighting both the creative process and the final result.
With my fully rigged original character, I now have the flexibility to animate him to perform any action required, providing a dynamic platform for further creative exploration. This mini project served as a personal challenge to refine my skills in Maya, while continuously improving my ability to replicate realistic human motion through animation. By pushing the boundaries of what I can achieve with 3D modeling and rigging, I am honing my craft and ensuring that each new animation project is more fluid, precise, and lifelike. This ongoing practice underscores my dedication to mastering the art of character animation.
